I purchased a Sporttube series 2 about 16 years ago. It's reached the end of its road and the plastic is breaking, but has protected my gear for many years over many trips.
A reviewer below had a hard time fitting multiple fat skis in the tube... I've had no problem fitting two pair of powder skis (122mm in the waist) up to a 196cm length. It's important, though, to rubber band the brakes and put the skis topsheet to topsheet and tip to tail such that the toepiece of one binding fits between the toepiece and heelpiece of the other binding.

Solid but to small for two sets of wide skis

I bought the sport tube double for a recent trip to Japan. It worked great for transporting one set of powder skis that were 188 cm in length, with a width of 14.3cm at the tips ,11.5cm in the waist and 12.8cm at the tales. Plus a good amount of other gear stuffed in-between. It weathered the trip with only a few dents in the corners. The wheels are a huge help when negotiating Tokyo subways and train stations. I was hoping to use it for another trip. And aimed at taking two pair of skis., but after numerous attempts to get both the powder boards and the more area oriented skis in; I came to the conclusion it just wasn't going to happen. In hind sight I should have gotten the largest of the sport tubes for my ski transport needs.
